Mercer Island Girl Scouts
"Girl Scouts takes the potential of girls, combines it with robust skill-building programming, and adds caring adult mentors and strong female role models.
Everything a Girl Scout does centers around STEM, the outdoors, development of life skills, and entrepreneurship, and is designed to meet her where she is now and to grow along with her."

For the second session, Troop 46803 will have an interactive activity to help Scouts explore how global warming and other environmental issues are challenging for girls and women in our communities and around the world and how Scouts can make a difference.

Interested in joining a troop on Mercer Island?
Girl Scout Troops are 100% volunteer run with support from both the Mercer Island Service Unit and Girl Scouts of Western Washington. New troops require at least two adult volunteers to be formed - although once the troop is established, a cooperative style of leading the troop can be selected.
New troops typically form in August/September. Existing troops may also have open spaces. Please email volunteer@mercerislandgirlscouts(dot com) if you would like to learn more, are interested in helping with a troop, or want to join a troop. We are always looking for great volunteers - especially troop leaders and assistant troop leaders!
You can also visit www.girlscoutsww.org and click "Join Now" to find a troop in your area and for your age group.
Who are We?
Mercer Island (SU 430) is just one of the many Service Units that make up Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GSWW.) We have nearly 25 troops with over 200 registered girls and volunteers. Troop levels range from K to 12th grade. Our girls go to public, private, and home-school both on and off the island. Girl Scouts are 2.6 million strong, founded in 1912 in Savannah, Georgia, by Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low. Girl Scouts is the premier girl-serving leadership organization in the world.
